Outside of Work: Jack Wheeler started his career at mustard but transferred to our London office after 12 months. Always leading the charge in the work fantasy football league where he is a past champ!

As a Founding Director of mustard, Dave Madden was instrumental in the creation of mustard. A quality first recruiter and excellent at building life long relationships with candidates and clients. Dave now focuses his time with Director level client engagement and working to maximise opportunity at our larger PSL clients.

Outside of work: Another Liverpool fan but this time one that hails from the region. Saying Dave is a cycling enthusiast is a little of an understatement with multiple L’Etape Du Tour’s under his belt!

As a Founding Director of mustard; Peter Browne has been involved in all aspects of the business since it’s inception. Now more heavily involved in the day to day growth and expansion of the mustard Bristol HQ, working with the Divisional leaders to help grow the business.

Outside of work: With 3 young kids to run around after, and a house renovation to complete this doesn’t leave Pete much time for his hobbies of mountain biking and hitting the beach.

mustard’s FD from the outset of the business, Ian now sits on the board in a Non-Exec role. A founding director and shareholder from day one his strong financial management has enabled the business to grow in a controlled manner. He has overarching management responsibility for the back office function of the business.

Outside of work: Very often last man standing at the company socials, Ian is also regarded as the man to beat at the company pool tournament and the work fantasy football league!

Joe Bungey is our Operations Director and one of our leaders of the Built Environment team from the Bristol office. As an Architectural Graduate from Cambridge University, Joe came over to the dark side of recruitment over 10 years ago and hasn’t looked back. As an Architectural enthusiast Joe gets to talk about people and practices work all day every day, he loves it!

Outside of Work: Known to be pretty handy making and designing random things and also running marathons!

Jeni has 21 years of experience working in recruitment across a wide range of sectors. Jeni has joined the mustard team as Sales Director via Disneyland Paris, York University, a large global recruiter and her own small recruitment business. She brings with her a pile of energy, passion and a desire to support the ongoing growth of the business and the people who work in it. Jen has a keen interest in sales training, loves meeting clients and solving problems, she has a strong commercial acumen.

Outside of work: Jen is a netball player, coach and umpire. She’s sports mad, loves dogs, the sea and her family.

Phil has over 10 years of creative recruitment experience, working at mustard he has covered the Interiors, Events, Architecture and Marketing Design sectors.  These 10 years has led Phil Boshier to his current role as Associate Director – People & Culture leaving him to spearhead internal recruitment, training and retention program. Phil also mentors the Events & Exhibition, Interior Design, Marketing & Design recruitment consultants ensuring they are given the best opportunity to develop in their roles at mustard. 

Outside of Work: Phil is a keen cook, Leicester City fan, cricket badger and an attempt anything once DIYer. 

Daniela Kent is our Associate Director of Finance and Administration, her role is vast but includes running our Administration team, HR processes and utilising her extensive knowledge. From processing timesheets, expenses, payroll, chasing invoices, for over 14 years with mustard, there isn’t any area of back office that Daniela doesn’t know the ins and out of.

Outside of Work: From a large Italian family with heritage in Sicily, Daniela takes no prisoners! Also the owner of “Roxy” the Sproodle that is often in the mustard Bristol office spreading joy.

Gregg leads mustard’s Finance department and sits on the board. Having previously worked at KPMG and OVO, Gregg brings a wealth of experience and is a steady pair of hands at the tiller of the mustard ship.

Outside of Work: Gregg enjoys the consistently wild times his springer spaniel brings and consuming a good amount of the local Bristol beers.

Leading the BE team, Oscar Dixon-Barrow is a highly experienced recruiter who’s worked up the ranks of the business to become Associate Director. With over 9 years in the business, Oscar has worked across permanent and contract recruitment for mustard placing candidates in roles across the UK.

Outside Work: Oscar was a lynchpin of the office 5 a side football team but this has had to take a back seat with the arrival of his 1st child. Also a keen festival goer and 1st to put the Reggae on the office music system!

Jack Perks is one of a few consultants at mustard that have studied at UWE and is based out of our Bristol office. As a senior consultant, he specialises in placing candidates in to the buzzing Midlands Architectural and Built Environment market. He is from the region himself having grown up in Worcestershire and he joined us from an event sales background.

Outside of Work: Jack regularly takes advantage of the vibrant Bristol music scene.

After working in the hospitality industry for years, Elaine Connell has moved to the recruitment industry to develop her career. As a seasoned Talent Partner, Elaine has proven herself as a high hitter in the BE team.

Outside of Work: She’s all about sport, fresh air, and a good trip back to the family farm. Whether it’s GAA, Rugby, F1 or anything in between, Elaine’s probably watching it (or talking about it).

Billy covers the South East of the UK as part of our BE Team. He has been working in recruitment since 2022 and is a safe pair of hands, delivering an efficient and reliable service to architecture practices, contractors and developers across the home counties.

Outside of work: Don’t let Billy’s name deceive you… He’s 6ft 6in tall and big into NFL! Also a proud Coventry City FC fan, Billy regularly travels up to the Midlands to see family.

Pelumi is our specialist contract consultant for London. He covers Architecture and Interior Design roles across the city and is your go-to consultant for anything temporary or freelance.

Outside of work: Hailing from South East London himself, Pelumi regularly spends time in town seeing friends and family. He’s also a talented music producer and artist and big into Basketball.

After finishing university in Reading and returning from travelling. Matt joined mustard as a recruitment researcher to kick start his career. He has built up his communication skills through his experience in the hospitality industry in both Devon and Reading

Outside of work: Matt is a big sports fan. With a passion for cricket and Manchester City.

With a (varied) background in Fine Art, Illustration, and Criminology and Psychology, Lottie brings a unique perspective and an intuitive understanding of people to the interior design sector. Having long held a passion for creativity and design, she now channels her eye for aesthetics and detail into helping find designers to create inspiring spaces.

Outside of work: You’ll find Lottie painting, spending time with friends, or making the most of coastal escapes to visit her mum (and dog Lu) and the beaches of Cornwall

Hannah Lawry is the divisional lead for mustard MD and her desk focus is on all creative based roles in the South of England but predominately across London and Bristol. Hannah works with a mixture of agency and in house clients placing Graphic and Digital Designers, UX/UI Designers along with more traditional branding and packaging designers.

Outside of work: Hannah is a regular at Carnival fitness, when she’s not dancing to Soca, Hannah spends her time with friends at one of Bristol’s many cocktail bars or taking her daughter to see what’s on at Bristol Hippodrome.

With a 10/10 NPS score, Molly has built her reputation being a Talent Partner with a strong focus on quality service. With a background in sales and management, she’s chosen to steer away from retail and explore her interest in the creative realm; recruiting for creative, marketing and design roles in Bristol.

Outside of work: Molly is a huge foodie and loves visiting all the new food spots, from burger vans to fancy restaurants. When back in her hometown, she likes to spend time with her cats

A graduate from UWE in Philosophy, Eden is a core part of the MD Team, delivering recruitment services to Creative Agencies and in-house design teams across the UK. Eden works with Graphic Designers at all levels both permanent and freelance.

Outside of work: Eden spends his time going to gigs, playing the drums or at the local pub.

Ben McKenna-Smith’s recruitment journey began in the Health and Safety industry, placing freelance professionals across The Netherlands and Belgium before joining the FX team here at mustard. Now, as an experienced Talent Partner he’s ready for your call. 

Outside of work: Usually found on the rugby pitch but when he’s not chasing the egg, Ben enjoys playing video games and spending time with my friends & family, usually down the local pub!

Ben is another member of the high achieving XP team, having proven himself as a consistent target hitter in his 3 years of service. He recruits for permanent and freelance roles in the London area, specialising in Design & Build companies. His degree in Event Management and experience within event production outside of work makes him an ideal recruiter in the events industry. 

Outside of Work: When Ben isn’t in the office or visiting workshops in London, he can be found immersing himself in the local culture of Bristol and London. Ben’s an avid foodie, and always keen to hear any recommendations

Ali has a broad and varied personal career history including 10 years in TV as a Producer/Director. He’s passionate about building relationships with people and delivering a top notch service to clients in Events and Exhibitions across the South East.

Outside of work: A father to young twin girls, Ali is kept busy night and day. He’s also a licensed drone pilot in three countries!

Summer is part of mustard’s XP team, having studied Events Management within her Music Business degree and having worked within various roles for festivals and venues over the past 10 years, Summer was especially keen to get involved in Events recruitment. Her current role allows connections to be made with clients and candidates everywhere in the UK outside of London.

Outside of work: Summer loves visiting new places, going to gigs, nature hikes and heading out for a nice meal with family or friends.

After working in a fast paced retail environment for 2 years whilst completing her A levels, Grace has moved into the recruitment industry on an Level 3 apprenticeship.

Outside of work: In her spare time, Grace enjoys reading and spending time with her friends and family. She is a cat and dog lover and is also a fan of Lego.
