AT Awards

And the winner is……… the CIAT
mustards Director Dave Madden attended the 2018 AT Awards which were held at the Village Underground in Shoreditch London on the 14th September and what a great celebration of the ‘business end’ of projects it was.
Whilst it seems there are awards and celebrations every other week for the front end of projects, it made a refreshing change to be clapping and cheering for the people that are often overlooked when it comes to determining just how well a building works.

Walking into the lovingly restored brick-built warehouse it was clear that this would be a different than the normal fizzy wine and sit-down affair and so it turned out. With everyone standing, mingling and jostling for space it wasn’t long before Matt Allwright (BBC Rogue Traders) got everyone ready for the awards to follow.
The Engine Shed by Reiach & Hall Architects was a great winner for the Excellence in Architectural Technology Award, but it must be said that it was clear that everyone was waiting for The Chartered Architectural Technologist of the Year Award to be awarded…. All three finalists could have walked away with it, but it was Dan Rossiter MCIAT who did. He delivered an excellent acceptance speech detailing his passion for excellence in the technical field. All of the finalists should be proud of their achievements and I for one will be interested in how the next year pans out and who will be back.

For more information on these awards please contact the CIAT at or @CIATechnologist search the #ATAwards or maybe just give them a call.
