5 Best Takeaways for your Lockdown No.3 – Bristol Edition

23-Feb-21

Let’s be honest there are plenty of negative and dreary things to comment on about the pandemic. But rather than focusing on all the things, I can’t do; I’d like to draw attention to something that has become more socially acceptable over the last year and that’s ordering takeaways more than 3 times a week! Luckily, I live in Bristol, one of the richest culinary cities in the UK and we here at mustard are no strangers to Deliveroo, Uber Eats and a new favourite on the scene BARBI. With this mind, I have compiled a list of mustards top 7 places to get takeaway from in Bristol. For links to these amazing places, click the headers!

Sandwich Sandwich

This fine establishment will always hold a special place in our hearts here at mustard and has been a payday Friday go-to for many of our employees. Division and conflict are caused in the office between people that are for jalapenos in their jerk chicken flatbread and people that are against it. But one thing we can all agree on is that no Sandwich Sandwich order is complete without half a scotch egg!

Oowee Burger

Located in Bedminster on North Street, Oowee has made huge waves on the Burger scene in Bristol and for good reason too. With American styled combinations of flavours ranging from Peanut Butter Bacon Jelly to their “Big Cheese” consisting of American, Swiss and Monterey Jack topped with their selection of dirty fries and waffles one thing for sure, you definitely won’t be needing seconds!

Meat, not your thing? No worries, Oowee’s got you covered with not one, but two Oowee Vegan’s based on Baldwin Street and Picton Street.

Taka Taka

Yet another payday Friday favourite of mustards! Taka Taka’s three different branches are in close proximities to our head office and our XP team members make no apologies for their frequent visits. Highly recommended is the Halloumi Super Salad, Pork Gyros and the Jaadu Khana Roll!

Low & Slow

I am yet to experience the smokey barbecue effect of Low & Slow. However, I have had reports from other members of the mustard team that they have not only been providing stand up food throughout lockdown but also great customer service and for a reasonable price too! I for one am looking forward to ordering myself the pulled pork box meal with a side of mac ‘n’ cheese…

Pizzarova

Who doesn’t love a handmade sourdough pizza? And in our opinion, no one does it better than Pizzarova. We also commend their “Make Your Own” pizza kits which include ready – to – roll sourdough balls, ingredients and instructions to make your very own Sourdough Pizza from the comfort of your own home during a lockdown. To make it even better, they’ll deliver straight to your doorstep!
