Birmingham has the largest public library in Europe, is the birthplace of the Balti curry and has the most Michelin star restaurants in the UK, outside of London. Now that you've decided you'd like to live and work in Brum, why not apply for this Senior Account Manager role within one of the Midland's top creative agencies?

Based on the outskirts of the City, you will need to be able to drive and be comfortable with travel around the UK, plus some fleeting visits to Europe from time to time.

Given the current lockdown, the company is working almost fully remotely and will be only be returning to the office, once the restrictions have been lifted. Medium-long term, the plan is for this person to be in the office at least 3 days a week, with some flexibility to work at home where possible. Realistically, this is probably going to be someone who lives in the Midlands and can commit to being in the office as and when required.

The agency delivers a variety of events; conferences, incentives, award shows, dinners and more. They also have a venue finding service, a strategy team and a film/digital arm of the business. Given Covid has put a halt to almost all face-to-face events this year, they have made the transition into virtual events. They have an on-site studio where they can live broadcast events to audiences and have managed to set up other studios across the Country this year, as their virtual event programmes continue to keep them busy!

The outlook for 2021 will depend on how quickly things return to 'normal', but long-term you should expect to work on both physical and virtual events.

You will be working alongside Project Managers, an Account Director and a Client Services Director, to manage a programme of events for various clients, with two main blue chip accounts to oversee. The wider company is made up of creative, production, new business/sales and other teams looking after other accounts.

WHAT IS REQUIRED?

- You need to come from an account manager/client services role, with a background in events. Could also potentially suit an Event Producer, who has lots of client-facing experience

- Content development experience is really important - you will be working alongside the design team and overseeing the creative process for each event, so you need to talk the talk and have creative knowhow

- Strategy - you need to be confident in advising clients on event strategy and be on the ball with new event technology and content solutions

- Finance - experience across live project budgets, prepping quotes, managing payments and negotiation with clients

- Teamwork, charisma, dynamism etc.

In return, you will receive a salary in the range above, an annual bonus + healthcare and life assurance.

If you love balti and books and have the relevant experience listed above, please apply with a CV.
