This truly is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing, very successful interior design studio based in central London, working alongside the owner to drive the development and management of it’s client base.

A newly created role, the successful Project Manager will be ultimately responsible for the commercial management of the business embracing the time-based billing system and developing a project management reporting system with the aim of increasing profitability and cost awareness throughout the whole business, assisting in the whole life cycle of a project whereby the client is charged by the hour, for every hour worked.

Wall-flowers need not apply, this is an involved team focused environment.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to are;
• Project financial management to include tracking and reporting of hours and expenses against project budgets, highlighting variances and reporting of these to the Project Team.
• Production of weekly job activity reports and statistical analysis to aid project planning and management.
• Implementation, management and reporting of new systems to monitor studio efficiency rates and profitability.
• Cost variance analysis and reporting
• Analysis of hours booked to projects ensuring maximisation of billable hours.
• Introduction of a monthly billing cycle and in conjunction with Finance, the preparation of monthly sales invoicing for all projects.
• Assist in the preparation of Client Contracts and in the translation of these to budget schedules for input to the time recoding system and billing system.
• Preparation of monthly project work in progress reports
• Change order management
• Preparation of post-mortem reports on completed contracts to assist the business in developing methods to increase efficiency in future contract negotiations
• Management of company’s legal documents
• Assisting planning, resource forecasting and estimating
• Preparation of Gantt charts and project plans

The right person will possess the following;
• Business management an hourly time-billing environment
• Strong communications and management skills
• Ability to prioritise and balance key priorities
• A strong customer centric approach.

• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written); well-constructed emails and able to clearly capture and relay information both internally and externally
• Excellent planning and scheduling skills
• Generalist skillset with interest in commercial aspects, including legal, finance and project execution
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, respond to work with urgency and understand deadlines
• Have an eye for detail, reliable and well organised
• You are a team player but with the ability to work independently to get things done
