Construction Buyer
madeWORKSHOP is seeking a super organised buyer to assist in the sourcing and procurement process of our exciting design and build projects. As one of the leading set building teams in London, we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and the service that we deliver to any client. This is resonated and instilled in the existing team, of which the new candidate will be a part of. We would like the individual to manage the procurement process for multiple Project Managers, liaise with our Financial Director and improve system efficiency overall. Construction buying experience is preferred but not essential.
Main Responsibilities ● To assist Project Managers with procurement of all materials related to
projects. ● Source and negotiate best possible material prices with suppliers, build
valuable working relationships ● Update and maintain madeWORKSHOP’s company materials price list ● Source VAT receipts for all purchases promptly ● Buying recurring office and workshop supplies
Construction Buyer Duties
● Take the lead on any general and project based procurement ● Finalise and reconcile expenditure on any given project ● Booking material collections / deliveries ● Assistance with some project related admin, inc. ordering samples,
researching costs, chasing suppliers for missing VAT invoices ● Answering office intercom and welcoming clients
The Individual.. The individual needs to possess very strong organisational and administrative skills, teamed with excellent time management and communication abilities. Construction / materials knowledge preferred. As the industry is fast paced, we need an individual who is willing to play as a big part of an already close knit team; to go the extra mile. Being passionate, positive and an ability to problem solve is key. We are a tech focused company, we put a lot of emphasis on efficiency and we are looking for someone who shares the same style of working.
Full Time The working hours 8am-5:00pm (1h breaks) Mon-Fri OT available
